I love to work with flowers as their natural shapes are so interesting.  The way they present their colors so brilliantly is a challenge for ceramics to mimic with out being too garish or Gaudi.  Antoine Gaudi is one of may favorite architects to study.  I love his bold approach to the breaking of his tiles, plates, bricks, anything  ceramic and the places where he chose to apply them to.  I too like the challenge of dividing the tiles into shapes but I choose to have fluid watery lines versus broken straight lines. I am hoping to bring out the brilliance in the color that can be achieved in ceramics while trying to keep the image looking life like, not ceramic.
